There are three levels of Reiki, each one unique to a specific level of mastery and meaning. Esme offers classes in three levels of Reiki, the third of which is traditionally considered the teacher’s level, giving the individual the qualification to attune new Reiki practitioners.
Reiki Level I
No prior qualifications are needed to achieve Reiki Level I, but it is helpful to have experienced a Reiki treatment yourself before beginning your training.
The focus of Reiki Level I is to open the channels between energy and new Reiki practitioners. Training at this level is for self-healing and well-being, and use for friends and family. You will also learn ways of using Reiki to benefit animals and plants.
Level I covers:
• Hand positions; and
• How to treat yourself and others.
Level I also includes an introduction to and history of Reiki and the five Reiki principles, an introduction to the seven Chakras and practical information on giving and receiving Reiki.
Next Training: 22nd-23rd of September
Balanced at the Burgess

Reiki Level II

The focus of Reiki Level II is to attune participants to a higher level of Reiki energy and have them practice Reiki on others while expanding on the opening of energy channels. The five Reiki symbols are also introduced, allowing a deeper connection to the universal energy.
Level II covers:
• Reiki symbols and how to use them;
• Different methods of distant healing; and
Training lasts two full days of 10am to 5pm sessions. After two months of practice sessions, certification is achieved.
Reiki Level II can be completed in either One-to-One sessions or in small groups.
“Reiki has helped me in only two sessions. I suffer from a severe mental health illness and take heavily sedating medication each day. It is difficult for me to function on day-to-day life. When I first started Reiki, I didn’t know how I could feel better from it. After the first session I didn’t feel the miraculous happiness, I thought I would but the day after, the day after that and then the day after that… things started to get better in a way that I felt balanced – not superficial happiness but in the middle where I felt content. Thank you, Esme.” – Ella Paul
