Every athletic sport requires different groups of muscles, so the exercises we do needs to be specific to those groups depending on what sport we’re doing.
Our Yoga for Athletes sessions are two hour-long classes based on strengthening the muscles required for the sport of the week. Combining conditioning and stretching with the flowing style of Vinyasa Yoga, we work to help strengthen and lengthen muscles, improve flexibility and prevent injury. Stability exercises are also used to help the body become completely balanced.
In these classes, therapy balls are often used as they are the best way to release muscle tension. Due to COVID-19, balls can no longer be provided. If you do not have any, you can buy them directly from Esme.
